In small groups, the young visitors to Altishofen spent the morning exploring different professional groups depending on their interests. Exciting stations such as driving a truck, the Logistics Academy, but also the locksmith's shop, workshop and tinsmith's shop offered hands-on impressions. The children were able to lend a hand themselves - whether assembling a truck model, painting body parts, classic tinsmith work or tasks in the workshop and plant maintenance.
The children were able to experience at first hand how technical and manual professions - the heart of the transport industry - are carried out and the wide range of skills required. These tangible experiences leave a lasting impression and can lay the foundations for an interest in these professions.
Rolf Galliker, VRP and COO, is always pleased to have such opportunities to give young people an insight into the world of work:
"It is extremely important for us to introduce children and young people to the diversity and appeal of technical and skilled trades at an early age. The more we open the doors, the easier it is to inspire them with the many opportunities and possibilities in these professions and thus secure a future for our industry. Because despite constant change, one thing always remains the same: our employees are our most important asset."
