Energy floater

The sharp rise in prices in the energy sector is leading to additional costs in the area of warehouse logistics. In order to fairly reflect the volatile energy costs in our pricing structure, the resulting additional costs are passed on to our customers with a "floating" energy surcharge. The current energy surcharge can be read off the current "Galliker energy floater" depending on the different storage temperature ranges. The energy floaters are updated weekly. The energy surcharge for the current month is based on the average electricity price for the previous month. The electricity prices in the spot market reports of the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission (ElCom) serve as a reference source. In the weekly spot market reports, the weekly average of the Swiss base price is used as the reference value for the electricity price; see: www.elcom.admin.ch.
