The price of diesel is a key cost factor for a transport company and therefore has a direct influence on transport prices. At the same time, the price of diesel is subject to major fluctuations. To ensure that this cost driver can be billed in line with current market prices, the transport price includes a variable fuel component. The current fuel surcharge can be read off the current "Galliker Dieselfloater". This is updated weekly. The fuel surcharge for the current month is based on the average diesel price for the previous month. The IRU (International Road Transport Union) index serves as a reference.
